Any time there is a new Aston Martin DB it’s cause for celebration. The DB has been around for 22 years, but the DB9 which hit the streets in 2004 is only the second DB in all that time, until now. The 2017 Aston Martin DB11 makes lucky number three and not only does it have to stand up to Aston Martin’s standards, it also has to be worthy of the likes of 007 himself – Bond, James Bond.

You may remember the DB10 which as an Aston but just a one-off made just for SPECTRE. The DB11 was not quite ready yet for the screen – but it is now.

The DB11 is ready for adventure and it won’t be long before Bond will be slipping behind the wheel (and romancing the latest Bond girl). It boasts a twin turbo V12 which, incidentally is Aston Martin’s first all new V12 in more than 20 years. This engine kicks out 600 horsepower so it will definitely scoot.

Once you get out from under the hood you’ll find the gorgeous styling equally impressive. It is said that Marek Reichman, the lead designer on the DB11, got his inspiration from ants. While it may have a slight arthropodal look, it is definitely a modern beauty that is built to impress visually as well as at its stellar performance.

And if the impressive specs or sleek lines don’t impress you, the price tag will. For a cool $211,995 you can have a base model in your own garage. This places the car squarely in the yard with the other big dogs like Ferrari California and others.
